AEPI profile
AEPI is the Grenoble-Isère economic development agency, fully funded by the Isère Departmental Council. AEPI is tasked with all aspects of promoting Grenoble-Isère, to facilitate the location of new business here.
AEPI offers an up-to-date and forward-looking view of the economy, making it an essential partner for developing the economy and promoting the industrial fabric. It is a public service, responsible for capitalizing on Grenoble-Isère's assets. It prospects companies elsewhere in France and abroad, and provides assistance in the location of new business.

Missions
Prospecting French and foreign firms
AEPI identifies firms considering relocation to Grenoble-Isère at trade fairs, through specialist consultants based abroad, in close collaboration with the Invest In France Agency (AFII) and in partnership with other parts of France.
AEPI provides firms and local authorities with promotional tools, at no cost. Publication: The smart move.

Development of key technologies and locations
AEPI builds economic development actions involving local authorities, and players in research and industry to foster a dynamic between new technology and a given area. It is strengthening, diversifying and consolidating world-class micro and nanotechnology capability by contributing to framework projects open to international partnerships.

Economic data and documentation, assistance with defining development strategies
AEPI provides local authorities with a library of economic data. It acts as an economic observatory, collating business intelligence, in addition to demographic and economic data on the local population, jobs and the activities of firms operating in Grenoble-Isère. It produces regular studies, publishing statistics for specific areas and sectors of activity.

AEPI promotes Grenoble-Isère's assets and strategic development priorities, targeting in particular the media and potential investors, backed by a full range of promotional material.
